Foam rolling is often described as a form of self-myofascial release and may help some people with temporary muscle tightness, soreness or range of motion.
Used sensibly, it can be a useful part of your mobility or recovery routine.
The important word is sensibly.
You don’t need to attack every sore area with the hardest foam roller you can find. If an area is particularly painful, injured or you’re unsure what you’re treating, ask me first.
Sometimes your body needs movement.
Sometimes it needs rehabilitation.
And sometimes it needs you to stop fighting with it on the lounge floor.
