Can Chiropractic Help Sciatica?

Sciatica is a term used to describe pain that travels along the path of the sciatic nerve, often from the lower back into the buttock and down one leg. Some people describe it as a sharp pain, while others experience tingling, numbness or a burning sensation.

Because several different conditions can produce similar symptoms, the first step is always a thorough assessment. This helps determine whether your symptoms are consistent with sciatica or whether another condition may be responsible.

Where appropriate, chiropractic care may help improve joint movement, reduce muscle tension and address mechanical factors that could be contributing to your symptoms. Treatment is always tailored to your individual presentation and may include chiropractic adjustments, soft tissue therapy, rehabilitation exercises and advice on daily activities.

If your symptoms suggest that further investigation or referral is needed, I’ll discuss this with you. My priority is always to ensure you receive the most appropriate care for your specific condition.
