Neck pain rarely has just one single cause. More often, it’s the result of several small factors building up over time.
Long hours at a computer, frequent use of mobile phones, poor posture, stress, awkward sleeping positions, sporting activities and previous injuries can all place extra strain on the muscles and joints of the neck. Even everyday habits such as cradling your phone between your shoulder and ear or carrying a heavy bag on one side can contribute.
Because the neck is closely connected to the shoulders and upper back, problems in one area often affect the others.
During your consultation, I’ll assess how your neck moves, examine your posture and discuss your daily activities so we can identify the factors that may be contributing to your symptoms. Understanding the cause helps us develop a treatment plan that’s tailored specifically to you.
